Well guess what the list of explorers being vandalized has just grown. Someone stole my cb antenna. I'm furious. I reported it to the police. but theres not much they can do. Its just wrong to steal or vandalize. The messed up thing is all they did was unscrew the antenna from the base. So i still have the base but no antenna. I guess my next question is can i buy just the actual antenna for a K40 and not the magnetic base?

I have a K-40 mag. base w/ a firestick II antenna in it. So one better not steal my antenna! but they are very cheap so it isn't all that big of a deal.

Firestiks are usually around $30 I think for 4'. Radioshack has antennas for under $15, dunno how there are on quality, but they look exactly the same as firestik.

yeah i want a whip antenna replacement. And wouldn't the new antenna have to have the same twist and lock feature that the K40 has?
