Trying to milk my small radiator leak as long as possible, before entertaining replacing the radiator. Ed

I put a 16 pounder from a 2000 4.0 on mine a few years ago for the same reason, but don't know of a 13

Thanks, yea, I've been running a 16 psi for years now too. Thought maybe there might be a 13 that would fit, but probably not.

If a lower pressure cap does not do the trick, the GM brand stop leak (Google it) is just ground walnut shells and works rather well without ruining your system like the tar-like Stopleak stuff. I had my water pump start dripping last winter but too cold in the garage to start wrenching and this stuff worked great. When I finally replaced the pump, there was little to no stuff stuck inside the pump. I am not a fan of any temp stop leak, but this stuff leave no residue behind after flushing out the system with water. Just remember, it temporary not a fix.
