Strava which is free in the app store - http://www.strava.com/

Track your routes and times and compare them to friends/others.

My friends and I use it to see who does a certain trail the fastest. Also helps you strive to work harder to get faster.

..I've been looking at and for other ones too and they all seem like older sites with not much on updates..

..I had previously found one with 3d topo's, ratings, and google maps that were current but now I can't find it..

I also use the strava... I wish it offered a few more "speedometer" type options so you could get a better idea of how fast you were riding, etc. but for tracking routes, it works just fine, and that's what I need 95% of the time.
I also use "Strava Run" to track my outdoor running. Again I wish it was better at giving you speed (it tells you "pace" for your current mile... but if you stop and take a 5 minute break, even if you pause strava run, then that mile automatically takes 5 minutes longer so you have no idea how fast you are actually running. Also it's audible prompts to tell you when you've gone half a mile, mile, etc. are barely audible.

i use http://runkeeper.com/ has everything i need, it calls out ever 10 or 20 minutes letting me know my speed and pace. It also has more options if you pay for the app.

It maps out your run and shows alot of cool stats on the actual site that is not listed on the app.

i also use strava, but if you have a windows phone, a good one is route tracker. i find that there are a bunch of stuck up, bike guys who are obsessed with being KOH on strava, its best to keep your profile private so you dont have to put up with these types. its great for tracking oyur own improvement though.
