How about a nissan xterra? How are these vehicles offroad? I have never saw one modified, big tires, lifted, etc. If I could choose any suv right now it would be an xterra, you could not give me a new big a$$ explorer, well i would take it and sell asap. What are your opinions on the xterra?

great stock, even better modified (they look sick as hell, too). I was on daytona beach and there was a big yellow one on 33's and it looked nasty

The Volkswagen Toureg sounds pretty good. Think; twin turbo V10 diesel with over 300 hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque, rear locker standard, low range. Brochure said it can go through water safely at like 22 inches deep. And it can pick itself up a lot more than a lousy 2 inches that an Explorer can in 4x4. Decent approach angles and all.

I change my mind. Gimme a Vietnam deuce and a half.

Think. Huge winch, 10 wheel drive, turbo diesel, and you're never going to break anything on it. Lots or cargo room and will tow anything.

That would probably do, but I was thinking of a more traditional deuce.5

you would be surprised how much my buddys baja bug (VW Beetle) can keep up on the BC 4x4 runs, sure its not quite stock but just has new fenders and some big back tires:D

Momentum, light weight, and a some skinny pedal:)

    G-Wagon.

It's got electronic front center and rear locking differentials. It's got way more power thatn a Rubicon, and it's loaded to the gills with luxury. The poll was not about $$$, but capability. I'd have to say a stock Galendenwagen would definitely outperform a stock Rubicon. And you'd look better doing it.
