Hey I am starting to notice a bit of bounceing feeling & squeaking in my Explorer Limited 4.6 when I go over a bump, I recently installed a road bully lift I bought last year and a set of 265/75/16 GoodYear Off road tires, & I want to know now what Is a good set of aftermarket Shocks & struts I should install that is going to give me the best bang for my buck so to speak but at the same time I want someThing that is going to benefit me more with the bigger tires and lift.

Anyone who has so suggestions or issues they have would be greatly appriated I Wanted Ranchos but was told they make the ones I was looking at for my Ex
      Thanks.

I want to do mine when I do my spacer lift/upper arms (my tax refund is taking FOREVER) and have heard good things about the kybs.... Have yours lightened up at all over the last 3000+ miles?

@brian they have a little ... i mostly drive interstate though so that is a big part of it ... i do think they will soften up more over time BTW they were $325 on ebay (only struts ... no coil springs)

325$ isn't half bad... As far as I know mine are still stock from ford. Should I do my coil springs at the same time? Like I said before as soon as I get my amended return the X is going under the knife for a week, so I want to get everything set up ahead of time.

if you have a "squishy" ride get new coil springs ... if not just do the struts

      That's what I figured. I don't have a "squishy" ride, at least I don't think I do...

1 or both your coils may be broken on the low side

shocks WILL NOT work! you need struts and like ronin said sheck the coils and see if they are broken or rusted out ... if so obviously you need to replace them too

I have had KYBs on my truck for the 70k or so no problems, I like them though they will give you a rougher ride they do handle better.

I would say if your truck is leaning you need new springs just because they are not physically broken does not mean they are good.

also a broken strut could be the problem ... check for any wear on them
