Me and my brother were on our way to Fayetteville one day and I saw this Explorer sitting outside this performance shop. It is quite sweeet. Pretty shoddy work though, it must just be for looks; no front drive shatf, did not extend the brake lines, and they extended the front sway bar, yes the sway bar is still there, about a foot. Looks cool though!Pics are here

The truck might not be on an explorer frame... it could be like an f-250 frame or something.

If it had no front driveshaft, maybe someone put a solid axle on a 2WD Explorer. Or as mentioned before, it could be on a different frame like Ryan's Ex-250.

proly a "work in progress". im sure they wouldnt have swapped a solid axle only to get massive lift and not use a front driveshaft. the brake lines im 99% sure were extended, proly just got ones that are too short and will have to get longer ones than planned... you gotta extend brake lines on MUCH less overall lift than that. looks like its gonna be a trailer queen...

From the looks of it, that shop just built it up for looks. Kind of saying "look what we can do!". They had a Dodge sitting on 44s and a Chevy as well, and none of them had front drive shafts. Did not think to check and see if it was in fact a 4x4. It is an Explorer, no frame changes or anything, just swapped in a solid axle, and it looked to me like 4" leafs in the rear with an soa. I say the brakes were not extended, I was looking for a steel braided line, and nothing under there looked new or aftermarket. It looked almost like they had just unattached enough slack from the frame so it would reach. But there is a very real possibility that I am wrong:D

I added some pics of the suspension, you can kind of see in the rear one where it looks like they just pulled the brake line off the frame, that and the front pic you can see the extended sway bar:eek:
For some reason the photos are not appearing on the page yet, so if you cannot see them, just hit the View Slideshow button on the bottom of the page and it will cycle through them all.

I unfortunantly see alot of really jacked trucks with the front driveshaft disconnected. Theyre so big the angle is to great to attach the driveshaft so they just dont hook it up. Theyre all pavement queens anyway.
