I saw a sig today that was 15 lines long, a couple this weekend that were 10-12 lines, and a bunch lately that are 7-9 lines. I was just wondering if the "Reminder To Everyone" thread could be bumped a couple of times over the next couple of days to help remind everyone?

    I'm countin four...............................

EDIT: but maybe that is a resolution thing. Does the "madison" quote show up as more than 6 lines on your computer?

Depending on what computer I use, some "approved" sigs show up as more than 6 due to resolution. I usually have my browser on 800x600, which is the normal net benchmark.

But yes, there are many recent sigs on this site that are huge.

Yes, I'm sure it's how my computer is set up, I do get the last name on the 7th line. It's way shorter than a lot of them!

Ah ok.........I keep mine on 1024x768 so I guess stuff written out takes up a lot less lines.

    Thanks for the bump Alec!

Wow! If anyone was looking for a real life example of irony, this thread would be a good one.;)

    Robb

BTW: Should I trim? I love the quote, but maybe time for a new one.

EDIT: If I go to 1400x1050, my quote is only 2 lines...............:D

Nah, cause what about us, who have links, well if there was like a 250 character line limit, and well some of us have short sigs, but the underlying link has a long link...

Robb's sig comes in at 5 lines for me. The "-Billy Madison" is on the bottom line by itself...

Hmmm. Tis going to be tricky to police this problem I say.

Maybe everyone could TRY to take it easy at least.

A character limit would suck. There are A LOT of characters in my signature to make it look that way and have all the links.

I might as well mention this while bumping: I saw some profiles on the left side under the usernames that filled up the whole box. I thought there was a limit there too.

There are alot of things here on the forum that seem to have gone south. It seems there is alot more cussing on the boards and ATTITUDES. We used to be a little brotherhood of EX owners and now there is a newer crowd that doesn't seem to understand that. We used to brag that we weren't like the "other" boards.
I still think this is a great place, but I wish we had a place for new members to go agree to some basic agreements.
    Anybody got any cheese?
