No, you cant put a 16" diameter tire on a 15" diameter wheel.

you cant put a 16" tire on a 15" wheel it will not mount.

the rim is 15 inches in diameter, the inside lip of the tire is 16 inches, there is no way for the lip of the tire to come in contact with the lip of the rim.

look at my beautiful image (i was too lazy to use CAD)

Nice pic!!

im confused... you have an explorer, a 97- probably came with 16's stock... why dont you just put them on there. Or if it came with 15's stock.. buy 33x12.50x15

i just really wanna know what circumstances influenced this question?

You have two choices.. Find some 16" rims or trade someone your 16s for 15s..

i am running 33x12.50x15's already, i just picked these up for free and thought maybe they would fit some way some how, so now i am giving them away for free. spread the word to the CO people....

I'll pick them up asap, I'm not even an hour away

You cannot put a 33x12.5r16 tire on a 15" rim, most importantly because a 33x12.5r16 tire doesn't exist.

didnt think so
