According to the stats? How about these:
    0-1 vs. NO
    0-1 vs. PHIL
1-2 vs. potential NFC playoff teams.
    #24 total offense
    #22 3rd down conversions
    #18 passing offense
    #29 rushing offense

Their offense is pretty inept. If it wasn't for their turnover ratio, they'd be a middle of the pack team.

The only stat that counts, my friend, is the W column.

Who has the best record in the NFL?

I'm not the one who said:

I agree that only wins and losses count, I just think that you should keep in mind that part of Tampa Bay's record is a byproduct of a weak strength of schedule. The combined record of the teams they have beaten is 41-57-1, which includes the 3-8 Panthers (twice), the 1-10 Bengals, and the 3-8 Vikings. They have only beaten three teams with an above .500 record, while losing to two. Hardly enough dominance of high calibre teams to say something like:

    GO SKINS!!

Sapp's hit was away from the ball but it was perfectly legal. As a former college player and lineman you take advantage of any "openfield" hit you can get. You need to be prepared to take those hits AT ALL TIMES. The guy he hit had relaxed and became a spectator thats why he was injured. Sapp could play next to me at any time...he is 110% all the time!

DAMN there is alot of smack being talked with a third of the season left..
I'm not taking anything away from Philly, but if the Bucs have home field in the playoff's, they had best play their BEST ball. I watched the game last night, you can't even compare SF's defense to Tampa's. Last night should have been an EASY game for the Eagles, but they struggled into the second half.
As far as the Skins GO...If they give Spurrier a season or two to adjust to a new style of playing ball, they could become a contender.
DALLAS...What's to say about the Cowboys, If nothing else, they have heart and tradition.
    The PAT's...Go figure..
Alot of season left guys..And typically, the bucs ALWAYS turn it on going down the stretch.
Something tells me there will be alot of hurt feelings this year. With any luck, I will be the one hurting them...HAHAHAHAHA

I am pretty sure that the Bucs will go No where again in the playoffs, why the hell are you even talking about the super bowl? Its like week 11 or 12. Infact do not even start talking about the super bowl when the Bucs get into the playoffs because, again they will go no where.

uh, that would be the New England Patriots, until proven otherwise in the Super Bowl.

Agreed. But once again, my point was not to discount the Buccaneers. Only to discount your take that "According to the stats..." no one could beat them.

I agree, the Bucs are a great team this year (this is coming from a die-hard Bears fan, ho humm). But, something needs to happen to Warren Sapp. All too often he's an issue, and last Sunday capped it for me.
