Can you swap '01 Explorer rear disc brakes to a Sport Trac?

You can find it in these pages of this thread, you'll also need to snag the master cylinder from the disc brake donor truck to work with the new rear disc setup. I just had a complete rear axle assembly from either a '99 or '01 Explorer installed in my Trac after the accident last month. They swapped the ring and pinion (mine has 4.10 gears, the Ex had 3.73's), disc brake setup and sway bar from my assembly to the Ex's. the Ex's rear axle assembly only has 10k miles on it. Everything is exact same as far as width, trub size, axle shaft size, length, etc...

Sorry to hear about the carnage!

My 92 e150 van is 8.8, but has drums and wrong wheel bolt pattern.
Newer f150's have rear disc, but Sterling rear and also wrong bolt pattern, so...
Maybe at some point they made an f150 with 8.8 and bigger rear disc than ST & X ??
