Car Starts, runs for 5 Minutes Then .....

Hey Explorer Fam. Happy 2017!!!!!!

I have a bit of a problem. I have a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 and when I start it it runs for a bout 5 minutes and the starts missing, and cuts off. If I try to restart it it turns but wont start, as if its out of gas. If I wait for about 30 minutes to an hour it will start right up, but five minutes later, it does the same thing.

What all should I check , and in what order?

I changed the fuel filter little over a year ago. September 2015.

Looks like a problem I just recently solved, read the link below and then use a scanner to watch STFT's climbing, fuel pump DC command % lowering, and commanded equivalence ratio dropping. Your symptoms are identifcal to mine where the engine ran itself lean to the point of stalling over several minutes.
