1985 was the last year of the Holley/Motorcraft 4bbl 600CFM (210hp first year of the roller cam block), 1983 was the start of the 175hp Holley/MC 4bbl, from 1979 to 1982 was a Motorcraft 2bbl (369 CFM)) making from 140hp (79') to 157hp (82' GT)

But in 1983 all the automatic Stangs with V-8's had CFI (Constant Fuel Injection, 2bbl throttle body injection), and the SVO had Multi port injection.

In 1983-1984 the GT Turbo's were fuel injected (Multi port Injection, 2.3 non-intercooled) , the first fuel injected Mustang.
