Trip, I just read through it... (looked through) That is a serious set up! You gotta post a night shot with all the lights on (if that's okay)...

    Donner,

What does your center console look like? On my old Explorer I did this setup for my siren unit and my switch box.

    That's the one picture I can't find...

Normally, I'd get outside and take a pic, but the truck's down the street... the 3rd gen has no space in that area unless you cut through the paneling... which I wanted to do... 3rd gen choices are limited on everything.

    Mine's a K40 4ft, it's black. Has a tunable tip too.
I also went to radioshack for everything, I have the same CB as stic-o, and the same mount as you.

I'm guessing he didn't want to deal with all the hassle of setting it all up, it's easier to have someone else do it. And of course they take their time.

Be careful when putting the CB under the steering column, i've heard that if it's in the path of your knees, in a collision it could f*** your knees up.

    Truckstop...

I got limitations, disabled, can't do all them things... I did remove the bezel and stereo... some days it's like that. Actually, everyday is like that... but things I can myself, I do... but I got another item that'll show up in the next week or so, I'll drive up there and you can help me out... It's audio related.

You are correct... I was thinking the damage that it could do the balljoints as well... I can handle the knees getting torn up, but not the balljoints :D:D

I got my mount made, and R.J. came by and took the fender and door off my old explorer. it was a little heart wrenching to see someone else taking her apart....

i'll take pics tomorrow when there's light. It's pretty simple, but pretty trick. We used an aircraft sliding tiedown, and used it to make a removeable mount that slides onto the factory roof rails.
