I've thought about having mine near my hood, I personally don't like the mag mount sittin there though, but if it works. Good Stuff. Do you get good reception with it? Do you have the problem with the body causing interference and poor reception?

Here's my Antenna mount. I just have my Radio wedged between the Passenger Seat and the Counsel. I'll probably put it underneith the the Armrest door thingy. It has to be a Small radio to fit, but it hides really Well. [IMG]

My antena is mounted in the center of the roof and approx 8" or so from the back hatch line...

I removed my center vents right above the double din and made a wood frame for it...

The frame is was just proto-typed in this pic...It is made from pine, not perfectly center and gaps in the corners
The new one is made of oak, sanded corners to follow the curves, and is now painted black (but I painted in my garage and I guess it was a bit to cold even with letting it dry for day+ so the paint got messed upwhile installing so I am going to sand down and repaint it the radio now sits at the top of the space with the oak fram under it, instead of over it.

It's pretty neat... I had to figure out what that whistling sound was while driving, just the antenna though. I'll get the pics together, and edit that post a bit 2/mount 2/w antenna. The cb install, i need the bezel before i post (and there will be some additional green lights thanks to a suggestion from JoeDirt... If I can get that bezel tmrw, i'll post.

Pretty Decent. I haven't really gotten a Chance to talk to anyone. But I can hear a couple miles. Maybe 4 tops. I resoldered the connections about a month ago ( I just taught my self to solder :D) It was fun. I installed it like the second day I had the truck and Cringed when I put the drill bit up to the paint.....It looks good though. And It works well.

:edit: Oh and Donner, That's a Clean set up. Very nice.
