How do I remove and clean my lighter socket in a 93 ford explorer? Everhwbere I check all I can find is everyone saying to check the fuses but it still works fine, I just want to clean it before it's so caked with ash that it is an issue.

Remove the ashtray by pressing down on the tab in the middle top & disconnect the electrical connector. Whole thing comes out.
