We are here along with my buddy from Grand Junction. We are staying at the KOA. Like Gman said we are leaving on sunday, so tomorrow would be the only day to wheel together. The OP that set this up had to back out. We we’re already planning on being here, but didn’t see anyone else that was going to make it. If you wanted to drive down we could meet in the morning and you could tag along with us. We will probably run up Mineral creek to Animas Forks then go up Placer Gulch and Picayne Gulch. Not sure yet if we will come back via Corkscrew or just drive down to Silverton and take the highway back. Let me know if you decide to come and we can plan on meeting somewhere tomorrow morning.

Well since I haven’t heard anything then I will assume you decided not to, but just Incase you did drive down and are arriving late we plan on leaving the KOA around 8ish. We are going to run up mineral creek, so if you want to join us we will be at the entrance off 550 around 830-9am.

Thanks for the reply and offer to meet up. I was hoping for a larger meetup and realized it was archery season this weekend as well so will be headed up into the woods for a few nights. Have fun up there. Hopefully this trip comes together next year.

You all I am so sorry that I was not able to get this better done and I had to bail out. Fundage fell thru and I was just not able to get to go. I will do what I can to make it up for next year. Again sorry about this.

I do have to say great pics @Theoffroadexplorer . I hope to make it next year to see some of the places you went. I am gonna start planning now to get out there next year.

All these pics make me jealous @Theoffroadexplorer.

I’m gonna start planning for next year as well. I should be dropping a new engine in before this run comes up again next year. If I do I’m gonna plan on coming out

Where is this at? Looks like you had a lot of fun. I was at Rainbow Falls north of Woodland Park.

Just looked on the map. Same Rainbow Falls you were talking about, Just east of Westcreek and north of Woodland Park. I thought I was going to go on Illionis Gulch, but google maps brought me about a mile north to a different trail... I ended up on a trail for 5 miles so I didn't complain.

(I can't see any pics posted from yesterday, so I'll re-upload them - Featuring the Trx-4 also)

NICE! If you know how to get to the big parking lot at Rainbow falls you head out of the parking lot heading east. Go on the trailer a bit then you turn right and start crawling up to get to Illinois Gulch or Mini Moab. What ever you call it. LOL I am planning to go back out there again the 15th.

That's awesome, what day were you up there?
I did see the main parking lot when I was leaving, oops on my part for not looking at the map close enough. I had plans for the 15th already, but I might have to change that and meet you up there)
