Mine paid for the copay on my crown. But at least my dentist is American. And he will probably buy something to stimulate the economy, like another speedboat. :p:

I wonder how much the government spent to send everyone a notice that looks like a check that tells you to do nothing but expect your real check to come soon

    WAJ

Just send the damn info about the check with the check, postage is like $0.49 right now.. if they didnt spend 1 billion to send out all those notices they could have given us all more $$$$ LOL

    Hers was also 4k. 1/3 of 4k is 1333, so it didn't even cover a full third:eek:

She's doing pretty well. She still has some double vision, scratchiness etc.

If I remember right the budget for the initial mailer was $62 million, just to let everyone know what was going on. So they probably spent around $144 million to notify all of us:eek:

So nice of them! I paid over $14,000 in taxes over the last 4 years and I get $600 back! Wowee yipee I am so excited

(I owed so much because I cashed out my 401K early to buy my house, but still - jerks they spend $62+ million to send out notices about a check you will get in 3 days anyways?)

BTW, the cost for this was $160 billion, did you know that we spend $240 billion each year just doing tax returns? As a nation we would be much better off if we simply did away with the IRS. The costs of just the tax system is more than most country's GNP.

Glad to hear she's doing well. I actually lucked out when I had mine done. I didn't have any scratchiness or iritation at all after the surgery. Bright lights like TV's and traffic lights were a little blurry for a month or so but that went away. Now I'm 20/20 in my right eye and 20/15 in my left. Very satisfied. :biggthump
