Dorman 905-102 Column Shift Tube

Any thoughts or experiences with this product? I need to replace my shift tube because it cracked off where the bracket screws in.

also whats the underlying problem with these shift tubes, the torx bolt was loose when i bought the thing i had tighten that up....should i replace my tranny cable as well?

these bolts are notorious for getting loose (even falling out). use some Loctite when you re-install them. as far as replacing the cable, if it's not stretched, frayed or binding it should be okay.
