Dropping an Oil pan

I'm gonna throw in a hi pressure oil pump, and I was wondering if I can drop the oil pan with unbolting and jacking the motor up? It's a 1995 4.0l 5 speed 2 wheel drive.

I just put a new stage 1 clutch last week, made a hugh difference. Just want to replace the oil pump and rockets arms next.

I've got a '96 4WD and dropped the oil pan, after removing front diff. Being a 2WD if nothing is in the way it should drop down just fine. Be sure you drain all the oil first. I had mine partially drained when I dropped the pan and oil kinda spilled out, and me being underneath the car, guess where the oil splashed?
