Hello all, I am new guy. Name is Jordan.

I have a question specific to the first year A4LD's found in my '85 Bronco II.

I know you all are Explorer guys with EFI, but I am wanting to do a duraspark swap on 2.8 v6 that is carburated.

My biggest concern is that if I remove the ECM that works on the 2150A feeback carb, it also removes the TCC lock up that is controlled on the A4LD via the ECM.

I know there are options to use a vacuum switch and a brake switch to do the same control that the ECM, but my question is, has someone actually done that? What will happen if I remove it and don't replace the function by the ECM?

I have been over to the ranger station and done some reading, but most that have done the duraspark have the older C5 or manual trans. The Explorer crowd seems to be much more knowledgeable about the A4LD.

That's why I'm here. I'm not afraid to do the vacuum switch, brake switch and some wiring; I just want to be sure that it will function as it should.
