I have a 2001 Explorer sport, which I'm assuming is almost the same as the Trac. I have had this issue with my rear defrost and reverse lights not working for almost 4 months, and have left it unattended for some time.
I replaced my fuse in spot 27 at least 5 times, and it has burnt out every time within 2 or so days. It is rated to be a 15A, and I have even tried a 25A to have it burn out. Fuse 27 also connects to the DRL and STR sensor (as well as the rear defrost and reverse lights). I don't know what else to check or how to find out what is wrong. I didn't see anything in my manual about rear defrost or reverse lights connecting to the fuse box under the hood but assumed that could be an issue.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
