Exhaust diameter

Does anyone know the stock exhaust diameter on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4WD Automatic? I have seen some people say 2 inch but others say 2.25, I'm looking to replace the muffler with a glasspack, and replace the resonator with straight pipe. I need to figure out what the inlet and outlet diameter should be, before I order it.

Don't know... my '98 muffler has 2-1/8" x 2 pipes in (but one is a flange) and 1 x 2" pipe out, but I know the exhaust changed between '98 and '01. I'd grab a caliper and measure it. Harbor Freight has some cheap ones or if you have a pipe/etc adjustable wrench you can adjust that to get the diameter then measure its opening, or wrap a piece of string around it, measure that circumference and calculate the diameter from that, though it might be a bit hard to use string to differentiate as little as 1/8".
