explorer towing 7x16 enclosed

does anyone think a 02 xls will tow a 7x16 enclosed trailer wih maybe 1000 lbs of karting gear inside ?? found a really good deal on a trailer today

Definitely. My '02 hauled a 16' landscape trailer with a 2002 Honda Accord on it 350 miles. It did great and I have the V6.

Shouldn't be a problem - I pull my 17 ft. deep hull Tracker boat with a 90 hp. Merc. on it, along with 2 buddies, and it's LOADED with all our gear, up to Canada (500 miles) and I have the 4.0 engine. Gas mileage drops to about 15 mpg, though.
