I've got a 2013 Focus with 52k miles on it. This morning I got up on the highway, and got up to 65 mph no problem, but then when I pressed the pedal, nothing happened. It wouldn't go any faster. No lights, RPM looked fine, just wouldn't get any more speed. I downshifted, as it can sometimes bog depending on the conditions and incline, and then couldn't get over 60. It drove fine off the highway to a gas station. I turned it off, looked for anything obvious, and all seemed well. Started it back up again, and it was fine the rest of the 30 miles to work.
I guess it got fuel starved. I would think an injector issue would show up at any speed? Fuel pump maybe, but it didn't struggle or anything, it just wouldn't go any faster. Any thoughts? Still have warranty left on it, but of course if I bring it in it'll be no trouble found.
