Front Shaft removal?

Hi All,
Does anyone know if you can drive with the front driveshaft removed? The one between the transfer case and front diff. This would only be a temporary thing to do. I'm just curious.

Yep. you can. be sure to mark how it was originally setup though with some spray paint.

Thanks Jay,,,have you ever done it. The reason I'm thinking about it is that the dealer may have screwed up something and I may take it out to try and find my vibration when and if I ever get my x back from them. As you said they may not have marked it when they took it out to do the seal.
