just like the title says. got a digital vid camera for chistmas...no probs figuring how it works but what do i use to get the video onto my computer?
it came with this "moviewow" software, but i don't think that is gonna get-r-done.
what software is the best for doing this?

i have to get a firewire cable still to connect it. so can't try until tommorrow.

i hope to burn a dvd with the video i shot...i have nero ultra 6 as a burning program..

    any help is appreciated.

If you get a Mac, all of the software you need is included. :p :D

Doesn't XP let you do simple editing using Windows Media Player or Movie maker?

I didn't see that you had a firewire cable. The firewire should work fine.

if you have windows xp, simply plug in your cam, go to my comp., double click your camera, and the box on the top left will give you option to get pictures from camera, doing this will also get the video file as well
