Hey guys, just bought a 2004 Sport Trac 4WD XLS w/ 87k miles - pretty happy about it!
Already had one "project" on it under my belt - serpentine belt broke after buying, left us stranded on the top of a hill in no shade on a 100 degree day. Luckily, my wife is awesome
, brought me a breaker bar and replacement belt and helped me slip a new one back on...
I would like to do small modifications (replace stock dual media radio, install back-up cams for trailering/watching cargo, put on a roof rack), but I joined this forum looking for more information on the bed extender. Mine did not come with a tonneau or bed extender, but I found a used one nearby.
Saw some threads already with exploded diagrams for exactly how the bed extender fits, and the extender looks right, but I just couldn't get it to fit. I'll post in those threads separately, but if anyone has pictures instead of exploded diagrams, that would be helpful.
