Can anyone help with a vacuum line questions? My heater/AC/Defroster controls have quit functioning. They stay on defrost all the time (no matter where I direct it too).

I found a vacuum line for these controls and it is broken. It would be a heavy duty job to replace this line. Is it possible to splice the line? :(
