- '98 XLT, want '02-'05
Hey everyone!
I just found the site by googling "Ford Explorer." I look forward to learning a lot about the next Explorer I hope to buy, an '02-'05 XLS or XLT 2WD. I just sold my '98 XLT 2WD after using it exclusively for almost 6 years. It had been in the family for all but a year of its life. My Dad bought it as a roll-over and rebuilt it. When I sold it last week, it had 300,000 miles. Now I'm in the market for a non-abused third generation Explorer with the 4.0 SOHC.
My '98 before I cleaned it up and sold it. We had just completed a 1,600 mile move and it went through the snowy Rockies without any problems.
