Explorer sport sohc 99
I have a 99 sport. last weekend my engine sounded like the tensioners were shot and it wouldn't rev past 3000 rpm and wouldn't idle. this week I just put in a 2008 sohc. the guy I bought it off replaced the valve covers manifolds and wireing to the 99 setup for his explorer. I just started the new engine it fired up no problem but as soon as I gave it gas it died. started it again this time if I didn't hold the throttle it would die.

It's either the idle air control valve (IAC) or the throttle position sensor (TPS).

Or a big, gaping vacuum leak.
Sometimes the crank sensor will do that too.

I tried starting it again today. theres no oil pressure. it turns over as if there were no spark plugs in it. any ideas?
