Just wanted to say he I use this website a good bit so I decided to make a profile. I've got a 94 xlt and as of right now I'm having problems with the linkage in my shifter and a fuel pump that shorts out. Welcome to this forum! The shift linkage cable adjustment is on the driver's side of the transmission. The shift indicator adjustment is under the steering column.
