Well I was adjusting my newly installed Diamond clears and took them out for a test run. I guess I didn't close my hood all the way because it popped up and made the worst sound at around 40mph! I immediately got out to try and close the hood but it was overlapped onto the car body. The stress from this overlap caused the paint to crack on the hood. DAMN!! :fire:

Well...I said I needed a new paint job anyway :thumbdwn:

Anyway, I still can't close the hood all the way its about an inch off. I'm a strong guy...so I tried to pull the hood towards the front of the car with no luck. Its still a lil off and will not close all the way. What can I do? Also What can I do to stop the paint from chipping, now that it is cracked? This sux.

spray some new paint on it.. also loosen the hood from the hinges and shift it... you probably shifted/bent the hinges..... i had a flyup on my explorer befroe and it didnt cloase the first time... i just yanked on it (hard mind you) and it closed... but then again, im a pretty strong guy and i was in a hurry and had an adrenaline rush, so im sure my strength got a little magnified...
