How many miles on your 2ND GEN EX?

Post number 869 has been selected as best answered.

My '01 Eddie Bauer just rolled over 90k. I have had it since new and will likely keep it for quite a while longer. Its in great condition except for fading paint and a little wear on the leather.

My buddy bought his Limited in 1999, it has a little under 50k. His has always been in a garage, so it looks like new.

my 2000 explorer XLT just turned 85,000.. still running strong

311,x.. on my 99 XLT,

had transmission repaired at 280,000 (broke reverse band)
replaced; ball joints, head gasket (because on a coolant leak), O2 sensors, rear struts, alternator, radiator (twice), water pump, thermostat(twice), Axle seals, front wheel bearings, EGR Differential pressure sensor (3 times). oil pressure sensor (twice - the second time because of an oil leak)

315k on 99 4 dr 4.0 ohv - needs work but still runs - bought for my girlfriend to fix it up and customize for her liking

My 1998 Just turned over 116,000 a couple of days ago.

2000 Explorer XLT AWD 5.0
199255.9 miles
I love this truck and i will never ever buy anything but a Ford!
About 190,000 mile and since i have had to replace a few parts.
Alternator, Starter, rebuilt ac compressor (just bad bearing). I changed the pulleys. Easy job and helps prolong belt. Also new belt. Keep in mind this is a stock never had these parts replaced. I have to replace a bad oil sender and while i am at it replace lifters due to that lovely lifter tap, going to check on cam while i am in there. Hey after almost 200k miles i expect some things to start wearing out. Over 10 years and 200k miles i love it! On that note, anyone know of a place that sells high quality lifters at a good price (cheaper than others)? Thx

Bout to roll 179k in mine...needs tie rods, sway bar endlinks, and an oil change

My '97 4by is turnin' 220k miles

I found it early 2008 on C-list; it was a repo. 4by, 4dr, power everything BUT since I found this site I got the coooolest paintjob! -my truck is tan/brown but when it rains it turns dark blue :D

I use my 4WD switch

Our 98 XL 4.0 (non-SOHC) is at 108k miles. It's hard to take it out on long trips because we don't have cruise control. :(

My 96 xlt just rolled 211k. daily driver.

needs stupid things
-drivers wheel bearing
-gas tank strap (center)
-oil change
-diffs & t/c fluids

130,656.. Needs a new front transmission seal. Leaking down to the catalytic converter heat shield, makes for a neat smoke show though. Replaced fuel filter and spark plug wires, everything else stock.

2001 sport trac 57,000. Just bought it from original owner. Replaced power seat, air idle control, front end components (boots dry rotted).

My 00' sport just rolled 172,000 and my 4.0 is going strong. Ive put over 30,000 the past 2 years driving between Omaha, NE and Topeka, KS. Has never given me an issue.

98 just turn 140XXX. Never have had a major problem with it.. fuel sensor went bad when it was brand new with only 3k miles... Replace fuel pump at 135,000. But over all I love it..

104,x.. miles on 2000 XLT

Just hit 196k in my 99 5.0 I love it, runs and drives like it has less than half of that.

160k on my 95 sport. New (to me) tranny and t-case are my only major repairs.
