Better than new!

About to roll over to 160,000 on my 1998 Eddie Bauer, 5.0L, and still runs like its better than new!

K&N Air Filter
Flowmaster Series 40 Exhaust
3" Rear Lift using Super Duty add-a-leaf
~3" Front lift using stiffer torsion bars
Pro-Comp RS9000 Nitrogen Charged Shocks
P255-75-R16 Hancook Dynapro AT'm tires
Aftermarket 16x8.5 Rims by MB Motorsports
Ford Racing Transmission Shift Kit
Upgraded sound system with 2 10" Woofers, new head unit, Kenwood Speakers, and Ford Add-On Tweeters.
Also replaced my front bumper with the 99-01 bumper and painted it 2-tone to match and give new rugged look.

Just his 143k in my 01 Sport. love her to death

Have 196K miles, 1K since I bought it cheap with a separated front hub.
Replaced both front hubs and CV axles. Running good!

I'm at 201k now in my 97 OHV - still all stock!

1998 explorer 4.0 sohc auto 124,9xx miles. Runs like new

99 Mountaineer 5.0, Auto. Almost 230,000 and still going strong.

My 2001 sport has 185,x.. on it. It actually needs some work and i've been debating on whether to fix it or get rid of it. i'm pretty sure the previous owner beat the crap out of it...Anyone's opinion would be much appreciated.........

needs to be fixed:

check engine light is on
air bag light is on
heater / ac (blend door)
exhaust pipe hangers just broke
2 ball joints
2 tie rods
tranny feels sluggish in 1st and 2nd gear
rattling coming from engine
front drive shaft is missing

Just rolled 186 but the t case and the front suspension needs some work but still running strong.

97 Ex. XLT - 239,x.. (4.0L SOHC) still running strong..

98 Eddie Bauer - 180,x.. (4.0L SOHC) has timing chain rattle, shes a runner tho.

I'm the original owner of a 2001 Explorer XLT, 4-door, V6 4.0, that just turned 100,000 miles. I've had the regularly scheduled maintenance items done mostly at the dealer (oil changes every 3k, transmission fluid and filter changes every 15k, all 30K services), replaced the brakes a couple of times and just replaced the rear differential. She still runs great and I hope to get another 50k/3 years out of her.

1999 xlt with 94k miles
