Where and when will they be coming out with an OX locker for our explorers? They are a bad @ss locker. I think everyone should have one.

The only thing they may make one for is the 8.8" axle.

You will never see one for the front of any Explorer or any vehicle with an independent suspension for that matter. Possibly never for 3rd members either, like Toyota 8" or Ford 9" axles.

The diff cover is an integral part of the shifting mechanism so whatever they build one for must have a diff cover.

8.8" may be developed. Right now the D30 and D44 are in production and teh D60 isn't too far behind.

Personally I don't think they are all that great. They aren't much different than an ARB other than the fact that they use a cable instead of an air line. At least with the ARB you are getting some form of on board air.

Plus, ask anyone that has installed an OX Locker what they think. Most of the ones I know that have said they are a royal PITA and don't want to do one again.

I wouldn't mind an E-Locker at all; I know the projectied cost is close to the ARB but at least I wouldn't have to spring for an overpriced $169 or so compressor. I will look forward to reviews of the E-locker in an 8.8.

      OX locker nah Eaton e-locker

Eatons e-locker installed is around $600. Its true it close to ARB's airlocker but everyone forgets the price of the compressor. So if your willing to spend over a grand go right ahead.

Where did you get that price for the E-locker? Is it actually out now for a 31-spline 8.8"?

      e-locker

If you want to price them, got to eatons web page. I cant remember if I called them or found out through the web site local shops that carried and would install the locker. The one I talked to was in Tucson. Unfortunately I havent installed one yet in my truck, like everybody else Ive got other priorities, maybe next year.
