IAC, TPS, Vacuum Leak?

that was the plan :p:

was just waiting to do that since I had originally forgot to hook the hoses back up to the vacuum regulator ;)

You know what they say to a woman with 2 black eyes don't ya?

Do not let me and Turdle come up there and put a whoopin on ya.

Change those damn black lines around on the DPFE as suggested before. ;)

hey now, I didn't want to change too many things at once :)

might as well start with what never got reconnected!

it isn't the hoses to the EGR tube.
the connections are not the same diameter.
.315" vs .255" ish.
So, 5/16" vs 1/4" roughly.

ok, so where is the DPFE?
I'm looking at my pictures trying to figure this out. Of course I didn't get any pictures of what I need now.

The DPFE being a sensor, presumably needs an electrical connection, also being a sensor used by the PCM.

The only electrical things I plugged (and unplugged) that are mounted directly onto the intake manifold were the connector to the vacuum regulator (EGR vacuum solenoid?) and TPS.

From my picture I can't tell exactly where those hoses, from the EGR tube, go, except on the intake manifold, somewhere between the plenum and where the throttle body mounts.

I'm looking on RockAuto at "EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor"
this would be the DPFE, no?

Where exactly is it located? Or where it's plug be?

It looks like this. It is kinda hidden behind the intake, however it is on the same bracket as the egr vauum solenoid. This one is on a v6 though so ignore it's surroundings

thank you! I pinpointed it quickly, and verified that I did, in fact, not reconnect it :)

I just gave you a "F" in hands on capabilities Gavin ;)

YUp, I think we're going to have to go up there.

I always wanted to go to Alaska.

That is what I was thinkin also. Buy them books and all they do is let them collect dust.:p:

91 posts later and still at square one. :p:

hey now, square one?
nooooo....

and I thought I mentioned at the beginning I've never been much of an "engine" guy. Apparently I forgot to make that excuse early on :(

well if you do come up, I'll buy ya a beer or three :chug:

Well did you hook them back up? And reset the ECU, and see what it runs like?

not yet... need some grub.
after grub I'll just be too lazy.
so I'll find out tomorrow

...I've been following this whole thread and can't believe it's still not done...:p:

forgot to clear codes yesterday, woops.
had my scan tool, so hooked it up after getting to work.
Now I also have a P0401 - Insufficient EGR Flow Detected

cleared codes, will see what happens at lunch time :dunno:

..That code should be for replacing your DPFE, that is, as long as you have everything hooked up properly now..

everything should be hooked up now, and connected correctly.
I can't think of anything that I may have connected improperly.

the small lines to the EGR, EGR vacuum regulator, and the other small white one? really only fit in the spots they're plugged in to; due to the length, it would be hard to get those incorrectly connected.

The lines to the EGR tube only fit (easily) the way they are currently connected.

At any rate, will see if the CEL comes back on after lunch.
