All 4 of the handles on my 91 X are fallin off. Anyone know where i could order new ones, or a way to repair them or even build new ones? Does anyone else have this problem? Theyre not the ones u use to open from the inside, but the ones u would use to close the door. Thanks

My drivers side handle fell off, but I have learned to live without it. It is bad sometimes, and eventually I will probably replace it. It seems like the only way to fix it is to replace to entire door panal, but might be wrong about that. You could probably find one at a junk yard for pretty cheap.

you can find the front ones on ebay for about 35 bucks but they are ususally gray and you have to paint them

The handles mounts are melted into the door panels themselves, it would be easier to get other door panels from a junkyard.

A 1991 has black handles, and all other first gen. X's have door colored handles, so keep that in mind when phoning auto wreckers......

I used a soder iron to remelt the plastic on the back doors. I was even able to transplant some of the plastic from hiden places to put it where i needed it. They are much better than original. I am in the middle of repainting + interior right now but i used 98 door panels for the front doors. Much better handles + the light in the switches looks cool.
