I would assume the tint would be illegal because of the safety risks involved when a police officer or the like is trying to look into the car.

correct, (as far as I know) and mirror tint is frowned upon because when they do the test with the light it is reflected.

cop, "when your tint is dark enough to where i cant see inside your vehicle, i get nervous, pull you over and you get a ticket"

those nosey cops...

When I crossed the CAN/US border in the backseat of a deep tinted Explorer, they asked the driver to roll down the rear window, so they could see who I was.

If they couldn't see me from two feet away, then imagine how hard it is for a cop driving by someone on the freeway....

the answer is

ITS A TRICK QUESTION

the tint % that is illegal varries from state to state..
so whats legal in your area may be illegal in another.

so the answer is TRICK QUESTION.

if you would like to contest please do because i have see a .gov site that states all the Illegal data about tint per state.

This thread gets a big:
WTF

So what's the legal % for pennsylvania?

EliteConcept

could you post the link to the .gov site or do we need to ask.

What are the main uses for tint?? Looks?Keep the truck cooler?

That and to hide pot, guns, ****** etc...

Umm so what was the point of this? If you wanna spread info just put the site in a Thread that is semi clearly marked. Why don't you put in the name of the site? That might actually help someone. In the future please try and use good titles and put the stuff where it belongs.
So whats the .gov website? Quit holding out!
