Hi Everyone.

My 2007 xlt Automatic gear shift lever is very sloppy or loose.

Shifter does not 'stop' exactly at N, R or D etc.
Most of the time shifter goes slightly beyond these marking and the car doesnt respond to the shift. Shifter move is not 'hard' enough to 'jump' to next gear but very sloppy that i need to stop the shifter exactly at the marking by looking at it.

Ex does run perfectly fine if i look at the marking and move the shifter exactly to D or R.

My hubby is good at fixing ex problems.
He did fix Rear AC and expansions valve himself reading threads here.

Please advise if someone has experience fixinging this problem.

Good to have handy hubby :)

Your MLPS (Manual Lever Position Sensor) may be bad. It's on the side of the tranny.
