Manual transmission problem on my Navajo.

I have a 93 Mazda Navajo 2WD I bought a few years ago and have been fixing it up. I bought a used transmission for it and 3rd+5th grind while in gear and is has no 4th at all. Can anyone give me an idea of whats going on with it?
