Alright, so I picked up all the fender flares and rocker panel covers for my 4 door Explorer last week. I had seen photos here in the past showing all the mounting holes that were under the flares, on the actual body of the truck, but still wasn't 100% sure if this was necessary for mounting. Now I see that in order to get them on, I'd have to have holes drilled all over the truck.
My question is, for anyone who knows what the fender flares look like underneath and how they work, is there any HACK or alternative way of mounting these without drilling all those holes? The holes on the inner lip of the fenders are there already, but none of the 'visible' ones at the top. Is there some way to like grind down the mounting points on the flares and use double-sided tape or some other method of keeping them on there without ruining the body of the truck?
