Need a transmission asap!!!!

Hey guys does anyone have or know of someone who has a transmission with decent mileage for a 99 4.0 sohc expo xlt 4x4???? i believe its a 5r55e. i thought it was just the torque converter... so i replaced it. same story... i can rev the piss out of it and it will slam into gear and i got em all.... as soon as i shift into park im back to square one with no gears other than reverse... Anyone!!!!

I found my last trans on craigslist. guy was parting out a wrecked explorer got it for a good price to.

Once it slams into gear, it operates normally until you put it in park again?

If thats the case, I wouldn't be looking at replacing the transmission yet.
There may be a solenoid valve that's failing. There was a post on here not to long ago, similar issue, wound up being the line pressure solenoid valve.

You might want to troubleshoot a bit more.
