Hey guys, got a 2011 e limited used and the push start button looks like the previous owner used a screw driver to push the button with. its scratched up and pieces are missing. don't know how they did that. just ordered a new button which was cheap at $17 bucks but now need to know how to change it. my ford parts rep said it should just twist to one side a pull out but not sure how i would do that. any ideas on how to change this part. let me know. thanks.

You have to remove the panel it's attached to as it mounts from behind.
