Need help ID'ing axle 2003 sport track - junk yard pull

Hello all.

I am trying to assist my brother. He has an 03' Sport Trac.
He tried to change brakes and they do not fit, come to find out the rear axle (rear end?) appears to be from a junk yard as it has yellow paint on it.

I have looked and looked and i found 1 tag on the diff with the following numbers. I have been unable to find this in any decoder online. I am hoping someone can help me. We need to find out what year it is so we can get some brakes.

found on the passenger side back side of the pumpkin.

That is a regular 4.10 axle. Take a picture of the brakes and issue your having

4:10 open, but I don't think there's any info on that tag that tells you what it's out of.

Ditto, post pictures of the brakes, the calipers especially. That tag will have a "4 " to the left of that "10", if it'd been an LS diff, it would show "4L10" etc.

Pictures of the old brake pads, or linings, can help too.
