I am going to throw this in here as well as in another thread, could be useful.
I built a rockcrawler Bronco/Bruggy. It grew taller over time with more lift. I was able to match Monroe shocks to my rig. IMHO, You do not need a stiffer shock. Monroe has a list by mount, length etc. to match-up something.
