Has anyone purchased a negative battery cable for 1st gen. explorer. I have tried auto zone, advanced auto, O'Riley, ford parts, etc. and they all say discontinued part. Anyone know of after market parts that might carry them.

You could pick up some heavy duty large gauge wire and just cut and use the existing cable hook ups. They have it at all most any hardware store.

Just measure the lenght and get one, even Walmart carries 2 & 4 gauge battery cables with the terminal on it too. Get one as close as the current one
