I was on the list at DAYTIME BrightLites for these DRL's when they got them ready to ship. I installed them today! The install took about 45 mins. Check out the pics. They are not on the site yet. They were made available to people they expressed interest first. I know they mentioned that there is another batch coming soon.

I'm sorry the images are so big. I thought they were smaller. Please use the Google Gallery link posted above the images.

My son thought I had them installed by Ford. They look like real OEM equipment.

Audiophile- Are these plug and play? What switch do you use for on and off? Last but not least, what is the cost?

It would be nice to see the switch, wire connections etc.

Dan at Daytime Brightlites sent me pics like yours with no info except he received his first 50 sets.

Any info and picks would be appreciated-Thanks, tinner

They are very much plug and play. The control module just sits on top (3M Tape) of the fuse box. The wire connections are simple. True plug and play. I will try to get some shots from under the hood.

Dan sent them out right away and I installed them right away. The cost was $139.00 + $14.00 Shipping. Fantastic quality and they stand behind the product. I have several other of their products in my car.

I got them at Daytime BrightLites. They are using 3M Tape to hope. It seems pretty solid. The build quality is excellent. They are easy (plug and play) install. They are not currently listed on the site since they are a new product. I would give Dan a call and see if he still has some left from the initial order.

    The cost was $139.00 + $14.00 Shipping.

IMHO, they look incomplete and need another strip to run on the top part of the headlights.

So the system is truly plug and play. The "switch" box sits on top of the fuse box (3M Tape) It took about 40-45 Mins to complete. I took a liitle time to clean my battery contacts.

is the on/off switch auto? I like it but I feel like the LED track should match the light housing. The LED track goes below the light housing making it look after market. But I'm gonna give it a go. Thanks for posting

Since you tie into the fuse box and front headlights (wire coupler) everything is automatic. See image #3 on my Install Images post.

    - When the headlights are off they are full strength.
    - When the headlights are on they are dimmer. (See my night time shot above)

All Automatic. No need to do anything but install.

They are not on the site yet. It's a new product. Way back when I asked to be put on a list for when they came out. I was part of the first batch that got sent to the public. Check with Dan at the info below to see if he still has any from this batch.

I don't work for these guys. I just like the products they put out. The puddle lights with the Cree bulbs are great also!

That would require you/them/someone to crack open the headlights. Not worth the trouble, though I am looking at some custom halo changes to might headlights. I think they did they best they could with what Ford left us to work with. Kind of sad that Ford didn't think to do this the right way from 2011-2015.

The Explorer assembly plant is here in Chicago. I know some engineers there. I will have to ask one of these days.

Good pics Audiophile, you must have sent them to Dan because those are the the same ones he sent me with the cost of the DRL's. He did my complete LED swap I should drive 15 mins. back to his house and get them installed:thumbsup:

I did send them to Dan. He was kind enough to let me know he had those in. I'd been looking to get something done. I can tell they spent some time thinking about them.

I've said that before, the Ex was the newest model and no LED, yet the Edge had them.

As I've said lights/install look good... Engine bay not so much. :):):)

I've been asking Dan for the past 2 yrs., you can't rush perfection.

Don't be surprised if he comes out with switchback DRL's for when you use the turn signals like he offers on his Edge, Fusion DRL's.
