I decided to join today after spending some serious time looking at photo threads on repairs that I've always spent significant money to have done. With the very useful posts I've seent, it looks like I'll be able to do it myself.
Most of the ones I've looked at have listed the needed tools (very helpful) and pics of each step, though some assume I know what a knuckle, a castle nut, or an ABS bolt are. Well, I expect I'll figure that out as I keep reading.
I was reaching the point with my one-owner '98 Exp XLT that its low value and higher repair coists were leading me towards wholesaling it or donating it just to avoid high repair costs.
I have to say that even aside from the picture posts, the most valuable thing I've seen here is the willingness of people to take their time to walk a newbie wrench through an unfamiliar process.
So, thanks in advance, and I look forward to passing forward what I learn.
