I have a 2008 explorer that is a nightmare. I replace the transmission in March and I either cracked the block or blew a head gasket today. Will an 03 4.0 interchange with my 08 4.0?

Put a new radiator in last weekend and it threw a code that the coolant wasn't getting warm enough. I unfortunately didn't get home before it was too late. The engine is literally the only thing I haven't replaced at this point

Air pocket in the block stopped water flow.

How are you sure the engine is dead?

It's pouring antifreeze out of places it shouldn't be.
