      Hi Frends, I´m a new member.
      I Have an Explorer'98 Sport 4.0.
      It have 123.000 Km. and when I start in the morning the engine chain sound like a rocks.
      Can you help me about this.

      Not sure what that translates to in miles, but theres a tsb and extended warranty on one of your timing chain tensioners. When it goes bad it makes a noise something like you described. Call your dealer for more info.

      Thanks for response, 120.000 KM It´s about 70.000 milles.
      And is it only tensioners problem ?
      what about the chains?

      I forgot to say thats on the SOHC engine. They replace the tensioners.

      Magicfan25, Do you have any links, pics, of engine exploded view.
      Some frend said me that my Explorer use 4 chain, and I have to pull out the engine for replace this chains.

      Sorry, dont have any pics or anything. The front tensioners can be done in the car. If its the tensioners on the back fo the engine, it must be pulled to replace them
